Frequently Asked Questions

Everything buyers usually ask before placing a first order — and if something is missing, just send us a message.

Ordering & Commercial

What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no fixed minimum. For switchgear and substations we can build a single unit. For components such as arresters, CT/PT and cable accessories, a mixed order across models is perfectly acceptable — many customers start with a trial order of a few hundred dollars to check quality before committing to a project order.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit with the order and 70% before shipment. For larger project orders we accept an irrevocable L/C at sight. Documentation against which payment is released can be agreed; we do not require payment in full before production, but we also cannot start production without a deposit.
How long is a quotation valid?
Quotations are valid for 30 days, because copper, steel and silicone prices move. If your tender requires a longer validity, tell us at enquiry stage and we will quote accordingly, sometimes with a material-price adjustment clause.
What shipping terms do you offer?
EXW, FOB Shanghai / Ningbo and CIF to your port are all available, and we are used to working with the customer's own forwarder. For LCL components and full-container switchgear alike, we will advise which option is cheaper for your volume.
Can I mix products in one order?
Yes, and it is usually the best value. A single order can combine switchgear, breakers, arresters, transformers and cable accessories. Components fill the gaps around bulky equipment, so the container is used efficiently and the freight cost per item drops.

Lead Time & Production

What is the typical lead time?
As a guide: components such as arresters, CT/PT and cable accessories 10–20 days; LV switchgear 20–30 days; HV switchgear and ring main units 25–45 days; box-type substations 30–50 days; transformers 25–45 days. Lead time starts after drawing approval and deposit receipt, and is confirmed per order — we do not quote a lead time we cannot hold.
Do you provide drawings for approval before production?
Always. For switchgear and substations we issue general arrangement drawings, a single-line diagram and (where applicable) a secondary wiring diagram for your approval. Production starts only after you confirm them in writing. This is the single most effective way to avoid a wrong delivery.
Can you build to my drawings or my client's specification?
Yes — that is a large part of what we do. Send the drawings, the technical specification or even a competitor's datasheet you need to match. We will tell you clearly what we can meet, what we would propose instead, and where a deviation would exist.
Can I use my own brand and nameplate?
Yes. OEM and ODM are standard services: your logo, model designation, nameplate layout, manual language, enclosure colour and packaging. Your drawings and commercial details are kept confidential, and we do not approach your customers.

Standards, Testing & Warranty

Which standards do your products comply with?
Design and testing follow IEC standards as the primary basis — IEC 62271 for HV switchgear and breakers, IEC 61439 for LV assemblies, IEC 60076 for transformers, IEC 60099 for arresters, IEC 61869 for instrument transformers and IEC 60502-4 for cable accessories — along with the corresponding Chinese GB standards. Where your market requires a local standard (for example a national grid specification), tell us and we will confirm compliance item by item.
Do you provide type test reports?
Yes, for standard models, from accredited laboratories. If your specification requires a particular third-party type test that we do not hold, we will say so rather than supply a document we cannot stand behind. Certain type tests can be arranged on a project basis.
Can a third-party inspector check my order?
Yes, and we encourage it. SGS, BV, Intertek, TüV or your own engineer can attend. Tell us the inspection date in advance so the equipment is assembled, tested and accessible. We will not present a unit for inspection that is not finished.
What is the warranty?
12 months from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects, covering repair or replacement of the defective part or unit. Consumables, damage caused by incorrect installation or operation outside rated conditions are excluded. Technical support for installation and commissioning continues beyond the warranty period.
What if something arrives damaged or faulty?
Photograph the damage and the case markings as soon as you receive it, and notify us and the carrier within the period allowed by your insurance. Send us the serial numbers and photos; we will identify the batch, replace the faulty item in the next shipment, and support any insurance claim. Packing is arranged so that a claim can actually be substantiated.

Technical & Support

I only have a load summary, not a full design. Can you help?
Yes. Send the installed load, the incoming voltage, the required outgoing circuits and any site constraints. We can turn that into a proposed circuit list and single-line diagram for review. Many customers use us this way for the first project and then standardise.
Can you provide spare parts later?
Yes. For the models we supply — particularly vacuum circuit breakers and RMUs — we stock and supply vacuum interrupters, contact arms, operating coils, auxiliary contacts, mechanism parts, secondary wiring components and complete handcart units. Send the model and serial number from the nameplate.
Do you help with installation or commissioning?
We provide detailed installation and operation manuals, wiring diagrams and remote technical support by e-mail, WhatsApp and video call — which answers most questions. For large projects, on-site supervision can be arranged; terms depend on destination and duration, so raise it at quotation stage.
Which markets do you already supply?
Our equipment is in service across Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and parts of Europe. We can share relevant experience for your region on request, including any documentation or certification commonly required there.
